Adobe Acrobat Reader software

Opening and saving your personalised copy of My Personal Information Record

In order to retain the best features of your purchase,  it should only be opened and worked upon using Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader software. This is a FREE download so it will not hurt for you to download it again even if you think that it is already installed upon your device. Doing so will ensure that you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed.

Visit the web page https://get.adobe.com/reader, and it will open Adobe’s bright red web page showing two alternative Adobe products. It is the top one you must choose – Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (refer screenshot below).

Click the blue ‘Download Acrobat Reader’ button then follow the download and installation instructions. These start with “Open your download folder and locate a download described something like ‘reader(xxx)_installer.exe”.

On my Android laptop this download actually appears on the bottom row of the screen left hand side. Follow the download instructions including allowing the App to make changes to your device.

The installation will be quick and FREE. This not the case with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC the alternative product at the Adobe red screen mentioned above which is sold by subscription.

Do not open your My Personal Information Record product until you have completed the installation. This is the same case whether you are using an Android or Apple device.

Caution

Adobe issues a caution about using third-party PDF viewers to open and complete PDF products such as My Personal Information Record. These viewers may include ‘Preview’ which is installed in Apple devices, ‘Foxit Reader’, and ‘Nitro Reader’.  If you do try to use one to open the My Personal Information Record document, it may open and look OK but it will probably not allow you make entries and you will lose the elegant and clever features which are built into the My Personal Information Record sophisticated PDF product. So ensure that you install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC as explained above.
